A similar setup with last week’s storm Nicole, Sub-tropical storm Otto(eventually Hurricane Otto) setup a solid fetch of ESE-SE winds right in Central Florida’s swell window. The winds were forecast to be NW in the morning but ended up being closer to almost straight west, which gave us clean conditions. It was a pretty close to epic morning. It seemed like just about everyone got barreled.

October 8th, 2010
ESE-E swell 4-5 feet at 10-11 seconds
NW-WNW winds at 5-10 kts
Summary – Some bombs were coming through and hitting the sandbar perfectly. Definitely lots of make able barrels were had. Fairly clean conditions with tons of mullet in the lineup with larger dark figures chasing them. Classic day. Look for the sequence of Sean Tubbs getting spit out of a barrel.
